Wafuku are new clothes made out of old kimono. The term means “Japanese style (wa-) clothes (fuku)” in Japanese. By up cycling discarded kimono, we intend to bring new life to these garments.

The Loose Jacket

250.00

This jacket is the perfect companion for winter days...and nights.

One of Emilia's favorite items, it is a timeless design inspired by the traditional Japanese jacket Haori. This garment is typically worn on top of kimono by both man and women. We interpreted this traditional piece with slightly slimmer sleeves and dropped shoulders.

Casual enough for running errands, yet dressy enough for a classy outing, it sports roomy pockets for all your essentials. Dress it up or down, this trusty piece is guaranteed to become a closet favorite.

You can choose to keep it open or, for increased coziness, closed with the pin provided.

The fabric is a rich melange black with contrasting grey lining. As a matter of fact, the fabric has been spun in Nikko, an onsen town a couple of hours from Tokyo. The factory has been in business for 30 years, and it is family run.
